FRES physical education teacher Derrick Biehl received the Amazing Person Award for Technology from the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (AHPERD). The award recognizes teachers who make exceptional contributions to the profession within their section. Mr. Biehl was nominated for the presentations and resources he shares with colleagues and his technology instruction to PE students at SUNY Brockport.

At FRES, he uses a digital display to show students the skills, activities, and learning targets for each lesson. Mr. Biehl also uses Plagnets to assess students’ cognitive learning and design authentic learning experiences. Congratulations, Mr. Biehl.
